Çaykent is a village in the Çayırlı district of the Erzincan Province, located in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. It lies on the right bank of the Karasu river, which is one of the two sources of Euphrates.

Çaykent was known as Piriz prior to 1916, and was primarily settled by Armenians at the time[4]
