Øyer Church is a cross church with a central tower in Øyer municipality, Innlandet county. It was built between 1748 and 1775.
The structure is made of wood and has a capacity of 300.[1]
There is a cemetery at the church. In 2010, Bruvin Cemetery was opened southeast of the village to supplement the church cemetery.
History[]
The original church was called Orrestad and it stood on 35. The earliest historical records date back to 1581. It burnt down in 1722 after a lightning strike and the current church was built on the same site.[2]
