Đorđe "Đole" Đogani (Serbian Cyrillic: Ђорђе "Ђоле" Ђогани; born Hamit Đogaj, on 1 July 1960) is a Serbian singer and founder of Đogani, a popular dance and pop-folk music duo, together with his partner of twenty years, Vesna Trivić.[1]

Biography[]

Born in Belgrade to a Serbian Albanian family as Hamit Đogaj, he grew up in the neighborhood of Mirijevo,[2] together with four brothers and four sisters. Each of his three brothers, Gazmen, Bekrim, and Sakrib, later also went into the music industry. An active sportsman in his youth, he was a member of AK Crvena Zvezda from 1976 to 1985,[3] even representing SFR Yugoslavia internationally.

Later he changed his first name to Đorđe, derived from his nickname Đole, which was itself derived from his last name Đogaj. At the same time, he also changed his last name from Ðogaj to Ðogani.

His three younger brothers also had successful careers in the music business, leading the dance-oriented bands like Funky G and B3.
