The 1885 South British Football Soccer Association season refers to the soccer competitions contested under the organisation of the South British Football Soccer Association in 1885. Across the one senior division, this was the first season of organised soccer in New South Wales.

League competitions[]

1885 Sydney Badge Series[]

The Sydney Badge Series was the first such league competition in Australia and New South Wales. The 1885 Sydney Badge Series was the first edition of the Sydney Badge Series.[1] The season began on 6 June 1885 with six clubs , , , , , Wanderers. Caledonians were awarded the Championship and received gold medals after the season was abandoned due to ground shortages cancelling several matches.[2]
