American college football season
The 1909 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska in the 1909 college football season . The team was coached by third-year head coach William C. "King" Cole and played its home games at Nebraska Field in Lincoln, Nebraska .[1] They competed as members of the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MVIAA).
Prior to the start of the 1909 season, the university constructed Nebraska Field, located on campus adjacent to where Memorial Stadium was later built. It replaced Antelope Field, where NU had played its home games since 1897.
