The 1948 Chico State Wildcats football team represented Chico State College[note 1] during the 1948 college football season. Chico State competed in the Far Western Conference in 1948. They played home games at Chico High School in Chico, California.

The 1948 Wildcats were led by seventh-year head coach Roy Bohler. Chico State finished the season as co-champion of the FWC, with a record of five wins and three losses (5–3, 3–1 FWC). The Wildcats outscored their opponents 101–79 for the season.
