Brann won the Norwegian Cup by beating Sogndal 2–1 on 24 October. The goal scorers for Brann were Steinar Aase, who scored in the 66th minute, and Bjørn Tronstad, who scored in the 87th minute. For Sogndal, scored in the 80th minute.
17 700 spectators attended the game at Ullevål stadion in Oslo. The referee was . This was the fourth time Brann won the Norwegian Cup.
