The 2012 Indiana State Sycamores football team represented Indiana State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by fifth year head coach Trent Miles and played their home games at Memorial Stadium. They are a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. They finished the season 7–4, 5–3 in MVFC play to finish in a three way tie for third place.

Head coach Trent Miles resigned at the end of the season to take the head coaching job at Georgia State. Miles was replaced by former UNLV head coach Mike Sanford.
