Two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic[1] successfully defended his title after Roger Federer withdrew from the final, winning the singles tennis title at the 2014 ATP Finals. It was the first walkover in a final in the 45-year history of the ATP World Tour Finals.[2]

Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic & Marin Čilić made their debuts at the event.
