The 2016 World Ringette Championships marked the 11th international competition of the sport of ringette and was hosted in Helsinki, Finland between 27 December 2015 – 3 January 2016. The international tournament between ringette-playing nations is administrated by the International Ringette Federation (IRF). The Canadian team won the gold medal in the under 21 category.[1][2] 18 of the games were live-streamed online and made available for public viewing.

Participating nations included: Canada, Finland, Sweden, United States of America, Czech Republic and Slovakia.[3][4] This was the first time Slovakia and the Czech Republic appeared at the international tournament. In addition to the international competition, a tournament, known as the "Ringette Festival", was held for U14 teams.[5][6] The major competition took place at the Helsinki Ice Hall.
