The 2018–19 Pittsburgh Penguins season was the 52nd season for the National Hockey League team that was established on June 5, 1967.[2] The Penguins clinched a playoff spot on April 4, 2019, after a 4–1 win against the Detroit Red Wings.[3]

The Penguins qualified for the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs, where they were swept in the first round by the New York Islanders.
