The 2021–22 San Antonio Spurs season is the 55th season of the franchise, its 46th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and its 49th in the San Antonio area. For the first time since 2010–11, long-time point guard Patty Mills will not be on the roster, as he signed with the Brooklyn Nets on August 10, 2021. Mills was previously the longest tenured player on the Spurs roster, and the last player from the 2013–14 championship season to remain on the roster. Mills' departure made sixth-year point guard Dejounte Murray the new longest tenured player on the roster.

After missing the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history, the Spurs will attempt to qualify for the postseason for the first time since the 2018–19 season.[1]
