54th season in franchise history
The 2021 season is the Cincinnati Bengals ' 52nd season in the National Football League , their 54th overall and their third under head coach Zac Taylor . They are also playing in new uniforms for the first time since 2004.[1] They attempt to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season . With a Week 7 win over the Baltimore Ravens , the Bengals improved on their win total from the previous year. The Bengals clinched their first winning season since 2015 after a Week 16 win over the Ravens.[2]
In the off-season, long-time Bengals receiver A. J. Green signed with the Arizona Cardinals . Green had been with the team since they drafted him in 2011.[3] He left the team 2nd in franchise history, behind Chad Johnson , in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and receptions.
