The 53rd Signal Battalion is a United States Army unit. Assigned to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command's U.S. Army Satellite Operations Brigade, it is responsible for controlling the Wideband Global SATCOM and Defense Satellite Communications System. It is headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.[2][3]

In September 2021, it was announced that the battalion would be transferred to the United States Space Force.[4][5]
