AIDS Housing Association of Tacoma

AIDS Housing Association of Tacoma (AHAT) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 1989 with assistance of members of Christ Church Episcopal of Tacoma and community volunteers. AHAT provides safe, alternative housing and services for people with HIV/AIDS in Pierce County and Kitsap County, Washington.

AHAT (formerly known as Three Cedars) operates the only housing facilities for stage IV HIV/AIDS individuals south of King County to the Oregon border. The organization maintains three separate facilities; locations are kept anonymous for residents' privacy and security.

AHAT is a member of the Ryan White Consortium for Region V and the Coalition for the Homeless in Pierce County.

City, state and federal grants comprise the nonprofit's $530,000 budget. The organization employees ten staff. The executive director is David Strong.
