Incidents and Accidents[]

  • On 2019-06-17, an ALK Airlines Boeing 737-300 performing flight VBB-7205 from Pristina, Kosovo to Basel, Switzerland hit severe turbulence at approximately 32,000 feet which threw passengers, service items and flight attendants into the ceiling of the jet causing injuries.[2] The experience has been reported to have been similar to that of Zero G. 10 passengers were taken to the hospital after landing.[3][4] The fasten seatbelt signs were said to have been illuminated at the time. Per Aviation Herald, the plane in question was fit to fly later that day: "The occurrence aircraft departed for the return flight VBB-7206 after about 2.5 hours on the ground."
