A Martínez is an American journalist who is currently a host of Morning Edition on National Public Radio. He joined Morning Edition in July 2021.[1] Prior to being host of Morning Edition, Martínez hosted at KPCC. He was also a host for ESPN Radio, on KSPN (AM)'s In the Zone.[2] Martínez grew up in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles and attended Daniel Murphy High School. Martínez played baseball at L.A. City College before earning a journalism degree at Cal State Northridge.[3]
