A Talent for Murder is a 1983 British television film directed by Alvin Rakoff and starring Angela Lansbury, Laurence Olivier and Hildegard Neil.[1] Based on the Broadway play of the same title by Jerome Chodorov and Norman Panama, it was produced by the BBC. After originally airing on BBC Two in December 1983 it was then broadcast on the Showtime network in America in January 1984.
Set in a New York mansion, but shot in Britain, Lansbury's performance as a crime writer anticipates her long-running role in the CBS show Murder, She Wrote.[2]
