Charlie Duncker, known professionally as Acraze (sometimes stylized as ACRAZE), (born August 2, 1995) is an American electronic dance music producer and DJ.[2] He is best known for his 2021 remix of Cherish's "Do It to It".[3]

Life and career[]

Charlie was born in Staten Island. He came up with the name Acraze (pronounced "Ah-craze") when he was in high school; "I was DJing this warehouse party and my friend at the party found some caution tape and started calling me DJ Caution. Later on, I was trying to find a related synonym to caution and this word ACRAZE came up." Duncker was planning on moving to L.A to attend Icon Collective, but instead taught himself everything with the help of the Internet. "I didn't get started as a DJ until about two years ago and produce professionally until last year." His biggest influence is artist "4B".[4][5][6]

On November 12, "Do It to It" entered the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart for the first time, arriving at number 36 (up from number 60). On January 7, 2022, "Do It to It" reached to UK top 10 for the first time when it climbed up from number 43 to number 9 in its tenth week on the chart and also reached #3 in Ireland.[7][8][9] In the United States, it reached number three on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and in Australia, it reached number 13 on the ARIA Club Tracks chart and was later certified Platinum.[10][11]
