Adam Kamani (born June 1989)[1] is a British businessman. He is chief executive the of Kamani Property Group and KM Capital, and co-founder of PrettyLittleThing.[2][3]
Early life[]
Kamani grew up in Chorlton, UK.[4] Kamani's grandfather, Abdullah Kamani, left Kenya in the 1960s and moved to the UK with his wife and four children.[5]
He studied at Cheadle Hulme school and Wilmslow High School.[4] He went on to study international hospitality business at Sheffield Hallam University but left after moving abroad.[4]
Career[]
In 2006, Kamani started his career by working for Boohoo, which was founded by his father Mahmud Kamani.[6]
In 2012, Kamani co-founded Pretty Little Thing with his brother Umar Kamani which focused on the fashion accessories market.[7] The business attracted the likes of Kylie Jenner, Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj and other celebrities.[8] In 2017, Boohoo bought a majority stake in the business.[4][9]
Kamani is the founder the Kamani Property Group and he is currently its chief executive.[10][11] The business owns properties Manchester, London, New York and Dubai.
In 2017, Kamani founded Kamani Capital Fund, a funding platform that aims to support young, dynamic businesses with a key focus on tech start-ups.[11][10]
In 2018, Kamani was awarded Young Property Professional Of The Year at the North West Business Insiders Young Professionals Awards.[12]
In 2020, Kamani launched Move Streets which is a property selling app.[10][13]
