Adanech Abebe (Oromo: Adaanach Abbabee) is an Ethiopian politician who is serving as the thirty-second Mayor of Addis Ababa in a Deputy Mayor role since 18 August 2020. She previously was the Minister of the Ministry of Revenue and Customs Authority of the government of Ethiopia from October 2018[1][2] to March 2020, when she assumed the role of the Federal Attorney General of Ethiopia.[3][4][5][6] She also is the first woman to hold the mayorship since it was created in 1910.
