Ageratina dendroides is a species of flowering plants in the sunflower family.[3] It is found only in Ecuador.[4] Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]

Etymology[]

Ageratina is derived from Greek meaning 'un-aging', in reference to the flowers keeping their color for a long time. This name was used by Dioscorides for a number of different plants.[5]
