Ahmad Dehqan (Persian: احمد دهقان‎), born 1966 in Karaj, a suburb of Tehran, is an Iranian author, novelist and essayist who is best known for his book Journey to Heading 270 Degrees.[1][2] He has written several books about Iran-Iraq war.[3][4][5]

Personal life[]

Ahmad was born and raised in Karaj, Tehran. He was a soldier in the Iran-Iraq war; he started writing after he came back from the front. In 1989 he entered university and studied Electrical engineering. He earned his master's degree in Anthropology from the Islamic Azad University in Tehran.[6][7] In 2006 he published his first novel "Journey to Heading 270 Degrees" and also earning important awards. He has written some scholarly articles about Anthropology. Many of Dehqan's books have been published by Soreie Mehr Publication Company and translated into various other languages.[8]
