Ahmed Hamoudi (Arabic: أحمد حمودي; 30/7/1990, Alexandria), is an Egyptian footballer who plays as an Attacking Midfielder for Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids.[1][2]
Club career[]
Basel[]
Hamoudi transferred to Basel on 29 July 2014.[3] He made his first team debut for Basel on 24 August 2014 in the 4–0 away win against CS Italien (GE) in the first round of the 2014–15 Swiss Cup.[4] He made his league debut and scored his first league goal on 23 September 2014 in the 3–1 home win in St. Jakob-Park against Vaduz.[5]
The season 2014–15 was a very successful one for Basel. The championship was won for the sixth time in a row that season[6] and in the 2014–15 Swiss Cup they reached the final. But for the third season in a row, they finished as runners-up, losing 0–3 to FC Sion in the final. Basel entered the Champions League in the group stage and reached the knockout phase as on 9 December 2014 they managed a 1–1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool.[7] But then Basel then lost to Porto in the Round of 16. Basel played a total of 65 matches (36 Swiss League fixtures, 6 Swiss Cup, 8 Champions League and 15 test matches). Under manager Paulo Sousa Hamoudi totaled 28 appearances, 12 League, 4 Cup, 4 Champions League, as well 8 in test games. He scored 5 goals in these matches.[8]
For the next season Hamoudi was loaned out to Zamalek. Somewhat more than a year later, on 31 August, Basel announced that the contract between them and the 26-year-old Egyptian international Hamoudi had been resolved on mutual consent with immediate effect.[9]
Zamalek[]
On Sunday August 5, 2015 Hamoudi joined Zamalek on loan until the end of the 2015–16 season, he made his debut on 23 August 2015 and scored twice in the 3–1 away win against CS Sfaxien in the fifth round of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup group stage.[10]
Al Ahly[]
On January 30, 2017 Hamoudi joined Al Ahly from Al Batin.
