An air hose or sometimes air line is a flexible tube for conveying the flow or pressure of air.

Uses of air hoses include:

  • To supply low pressure breathing air to standard diving dress. The earliest air hoses were made from leather, but by 1859 rubber was in use.[1]
  • An essential component of a surface-supplied diving umbilical cable.
  • In railway air brakes .
  • In road vehicles, between tractors and semi-trailers which use air brakes.
  • To supply compressed air to pneumatic hand tools.
