Aitken interpolation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aitken interpolation is an algorithm used for polynomial interpolation that was derived by the mathematician Alexander Aitken. It is similar to Neville's algorithm.

Use[]

Arthur H. Robinson did not specify any particular interpolation method for his Robinson projection, but it is reported that he used Aitken interpolation himself.[1]
