Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi (born 7 March 1960) is an Indian judge. Presently, he is Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. As of 17 September 2021, his name has been recommended by the Supreme Court collegium to take over the post of the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. He will be replaced by Justice Indrajit Mahanty as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. He is former Judge of Bombay High Court and Gujarat High Court.

Career[]

Kureshi passed LL.B. in 1983 and started practice in Gujarat High Court. He was appointed as an additional judge of the Gujarat High Court in March 2004 and became permanent judge in 2005. Kureshi was transferred to the Bombay High Court in November 2018[1] thereafter became the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.[2]
