Akshi (Kannada: ಅಕ್ಷಿ) is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language film written and directed by filmmaker Manoj Kumar. Srinivas V has produced and Kaladegula Srinivas scored the music. Akshi is set to be released in theaters in mid-2021.[1] The film explores the importance of eye donation.[2][3][4][5] Akshi was awarded the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada.[6]

Production[]

Akshi is first film for the producer Kaladegula Srinivas before this he was an anchor, singer, and music director.[8] The film was supposed to be released in 2020 itself due to COVID-19 the movie will have a delayed-release.[citation needed]

Accolades[]

Manoj Kumar was recipient of the Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 67th National Film Awards in 2019.[2]
