Alan (Syriac: Hālānā)[2] is a village in Hakkâri Province in southeastern Turkey. It is located in the district of Şemdinli.
History[]
In 1877, 100 Nestorian families inhabited Halana, and were served by two functioning churches as part of the archdiocese of Shemsdin.[3]
