Albert Braut Tjåland (anglicised to Tjaaland; born 11 February 2004) is a Norwegian football player who plays for Molde FK.[1]

Club career[]

Tjåland came through the ranks of Bryne, where he played from the under-13 to the under-19.[1][2][3][4]

He made his debut in the Norwegian third division with Bryne 2 on the 19 October 2019, coming on as a substitute in a 7–2 home defeat against Viking 2.[5]

Having impressed with his goal tally in the youth ranks, he trained several times with the first team, eventually making his debut with them on the 2 March 2020 in a friendly game against Egersunds.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]

He was transferred to Molde in the summer 2020,[15][16][17][18] having scored a total of 69 goals in 48 games with Bryne youth.[1]

While at Molde, he was noticed by several medias for having scored an impressive amount of goals for both Bryne and Molde youth teams (more than one goal per game since his first appearance for Bryne under-13).[19][20][21][22][1]


Personal life[]

Tjåland is maternal cousins with fellow professional footballers Erling Haaland who plays for Borussia Dortmund as a striker, and Jonatan Braut Brunes who plays for Lillestrøm as a forward. He is a nephew of Alf-Inge Håland.[7][8][19][23]
