Alberto Bombassei (born October 1940)[2] is an Italian billionaire businessman, the chairman and president of Brembo, an Italian manufacturer of automotive brake systems.[1] He controls 53.5% of Brembo.[3]

He was born in Vicenza, Italy.[4] His father co-founded Brembo in 1961 with , and in 1975, Enzo Ferrari asked the company to provide braking systems for his Formula 1 racing cars.[3]

He is married with two children, and lives in Bergamo, Italy.[1]

In 2013 Bombassei was elected MP among the ranks of the Civic Choice party and held office until 2018. As of September 2020, he is a member of the Italian Aspen Institute.[5]
