Alexander Mark Tai (born October 22, 1966) is the former team principal of the Virgin Racing Formula E team and former team principal of Virgin Racing Formula One team.

Career[]

Experienced CEO/Chairman and investor with a demonstrated history of working at a global strategic level specialising within the Information Technology and Aerospace/aviation industry sectors.

Alex Tai is the president of the THEOS association that aims to democratize NFTs. Furthermore, he is the chief executive officer at BLOK BioScience, chairman of Blok Solutions, and board director of the Global Blockchain Business Council.

Chaired the Commercial Spaceflight Industry Organisation in America and is a current Board member of the Global Blockchain Business Council.

Skilled in Negotiation, Business Planning, Operations Management, Management, and Contract Management.

Strong operations professional graduated from Royal Air Force College Cranwell and trained as a fast jet pilot.

Holds World Speed Records as a pilot including the fastest around the World both East and West.

Helped found Virgin Galactic with and aims to fly the Galactic Spaceship.

Tai was named as the Team Principal of Virgin Racing Formula One team at the team's launch in December 2009. Less than a month later, however, he left the position, saying that he was focused on "finding new opportunities and the challenge of starting new ventures." He was replaced by the team's Sporting Director, John Booth.[1]
