Alexander Münninghoff (13 April 1944 – 28 April 2020) was a Poland-born Dutch journalist and writer. From 1974 to 2007 he worked for the Haagsche Courant. Münninghoff wrote, among others, many articles and books about chess. In 1983 he won the  [nl] and in 2015 he won the  [nl] for his book De stamhouder.

He died in The Hague where he lived, on 28 April 2020, aged 76.[1]
