Alexandra Zarini (born c. 1985) is an heiress of the Gucci family and granddaughter of Aldo Gucci. She is the Founder of Gucci Children’s Foundation.

Biography[]

Alexandra is the great-granddaughter of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the global fashion empire. In September 2020, she filed a lawsuit accusing her stepfather Joseph Ruffalo of sexually assaulting her over a period of 16 years from the age of 6 to the age of 22.[1][2] She further claimed that her mother, Patricia Gucci, and her grandmother, Bruna Palombo, knew of the abuse and that both women threatened to disinherit her if she was not to remain quiet about it. Her stepfather denied the allegations and said he is innocent. Her mother also denied the allegations and divorced Ruffalo in 2007 when she got to know that he sexually abused her daughter. In addition to the civil lawsuit, Alexandra filed complaints with the Beverly Hills Police Department in the U.S.A. and the Thames Valley Police in England. Both these criminal investigations, in which her stepfather, mother and grandmother are being named, are still ongoing.[3][4][5][6]

Personal life[]

Alexandra changed her maiden name to Zarini after her marriage. She became a mother in 2016. She founded a nonprofit called the Alexandra Gucci Children’s Foundation in 2020 to end child sexual abuse.[7][8]
