Alice Headley Chandler (January 15, 1926 — April 6, 2021)[1][2] was an American horse breeder and racing stable owner.

Mill Ridge Farm[]

Following the death of her father in 1962, she established Mill Ridge Farm from a portion of his Beaumont Farm. The best known of her breeding successes was Sir Ivor, winner in 1968 of England's prestigious Epsom Derby.

Honors[]

In 2005, Alice Chandler was the honored guest of the Annual Testimonial Dinner.[3] In 2009, she received the Eclipse Award of Merit in 2009.[4]

Alice Chandler died on April 6, 2021, aged 95.[4] She was posthumously inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame Class of 2020 as one of its esteemed Pillars of the Turf.[5]
