"Alive" is a song performed by Austrian-Filipino singer Vincent Bueno. It was chosen to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 on 12 December 2019.[1]
Background[]
After being selected to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, Bueno said, "Wow, even thinking about the fact that I am going to participate in the song contest gives me goosebumps [...] it is breathtaking and formidable. Let’s go Austria!"[1]
Eurovision Song Contest[]
The song was suppose represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, after Vincent Bueno was internally selected by the Austrian broadcaster ORF on 12 December 2019.[1] The song would perform in one of the two semi-finals. On 28 January 2020, a special allocation draw was held which placed each country into one of the two semi-finals, as well as which half of the show they would perform in. Austria was placed into the second semi-final, to be held on 14 May 2020, and was scheduled to perform in the first half of the show.
