All Saints University College of Medicine, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (ASU SVG) is a private medical school located in the Caribbean.[2] There are two campuses in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, one in Kingstown and the other in Arnos Vale, along with its administrative base in Toronto, Ontario.[citation needed]
History[]
All Saints University was founded in April 2006, with Mr. Richmond Paulpillai, MSc. as Chancellor.[3][4] The Roseau campus opened in 2006, followed by the launch of a second sister university in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines during 2011.[5][1] The student body grew steadily over the past decade and welcomed hundreds of students on two campuses,[1] with many students having gained residencies and gone on to become successful practicing doctors in Canada, the United States and other countries.[4][6][7] In December of 2016, Mr. Richmond Paulpillai passed away.[8] In 2019, the universities began to operate independently of each other with All Saints University College of Medicine in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' new President Dr. Mane Paulpillai.[9]
Curriculum[]
Medical programs are open to both local and foreign students.[7] Citizens of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines automatically receive a 50% tuition scholarship.[citation needed]

The 5 Year MD Program is designed for recent high school graduates seeking direct admission into the study of medicine with the program consisting of 4 semesters of premedical courses, including Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Introductory Anatomy.[10] This is followed by the structured curriculum in the 4 Year MD Program.[10]
4 Year MD Program[]
The 4 Year MD Program is for applicants who have completed a Bachelor of Science or the necessary prerequisites at an accredited school and the program consists of 2 years in basic sciences that are conducted at the Saint Vincent campus.[11] This is followed by 2 years of clinical clerkship in ACGME-approved teaching hospitals throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean.[11] During this period, students must complete a minimum of 72 weeks in clinical rotations, which take place in the fields of Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Family Practice.[12]
