All the Times We Had is the first full-length album released by the band Ivan & Alyosha.[1][2][3][4][5] The group had released three EPs prior to the release of the album. Originally, the album was set to release in August 2012, but it was delayed.[6][7] The folk-pop album was released on February 26, 2013 and was generally well-received.[8][9][10][11] It was released by Missing Piece Records under license to Dualtone Records.[12][13] All the Times We Had follows the release of The Cabin Sessions (EP) in 2012, which was released as a special preview to the album. The album sold more than 11,000 copies.[12]

The album's title track, "All the Times We Had", which was released as a single in June 2012.[6] It was written by Pete Wilson about a bittersweet goodbye between friends and features vocalist Aimee Mann.[6][7][2]

"Be Your Man" is the first track on the album and was written about the members' wives.[8] "Don't Want to Die Anymore" and "The Fold" were written by Tim Wilson, and he thought they were two of the best tracks on the album.[7]

Before the album[]

Prior to the album release, the group had released an EP every two years since 2007.[8][14] The first seven tracks on the album were released prior to the album either as singles or on the extended plays. Tracks 1, 5, 6, and 7 were released together as The Cabin Sessions (EP). Track 2 was released on the extended play by the same name, Fathers Be Kind (EP). "Easy to Love" (track 3), was released on The Verse, the Chorus (EP) and again later as a single. Track 4 was released as a single in December 2012. The final four tracks are new to the album. They chose to rerecord their singles "Fathers Be Kind" and "Easy to Love" because they thought they were the strongest songs to rerecord for their first album.[7] Because many of the songs had been released before, the band had played them live for a year and a half prior to recording them for the album.[15]
