Allamoore Independent School District

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Allamoore Independent School District was a public school district based in the community of Allamoore, Texas, United States. The approximately 2,100-square-mile (5,400 km2) district was known as the Allamoore Common School District prior to 1993.[1]

By the late 1980s, Allamoore's total enrollment had dropped to fewer than five students, which made it one of the smallest school districts in the state of Texas.[citation needed]

On July 1, 1995, Allamoore ISD consolidated with the Culberson County Independent School District based in nearby Van Horn to form the Culberson County-Allamoore Independent School District.[2]
