"Alle Jahre wieder" (English: "Every year again") is a well known German Christmas carol, written in 1837 by (1789–1854). The most common melody is usually attributed to Friedrich Silcher. Other melody versions come from German composers Ernst Anschütz and an earlier 1827 melody by Christian Heinrich Rinck.
The name of the song was used for the title of the 1967 film Alle Jahre wieder by Ulrich Schamoni.[1]
