Alok Pandey[5][6] (born 30 April 1988)[7] is an Indian film actor. Alok is best known for playing MS Dhoni’s best friend in the former Indian Cricket team captain’s biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story[8]”, a negative role with John Abraham[9] in Batla House[10] and a major role in Lucknow Central.[11] He performed packed role in a short film entitled “KKKK…KIRAN”.[12] He also plays role in movies like PK, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sanam Teri Kasam, Special OPS.

Early life[]

Alok was born at village Dadoun in Shahjahanpur. During the college days, Alok went to watch a Theater play with friends (Ravi Chauhan and Dharmendra Singh Sisodiya). While watching this play, the idea of becoming an actor came into Alok's mind.[13]

Career[]

Alok join the "Sanskriti theater group" in 2007, In this theater group, he learned acting tricks from his mentor Alok Saxena. Later Alok join Bhartendu Natya Akademi (BNA) - News name is "Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts" in Gomti Nagar, he is 2011 batch pass-out, got opened the BM Shah auditorium where he staged first professional theater play.[14] He performed a number of shows in Lucknow BNA.[15] After that he got selected in Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, Here he learn a lot from Vipin Sharma. After a year, in December 2012, finally Alok came to Mumbai.[8] Theater friends (Manoj Sharma) were already in Mumbai, they sheltered Alok. Then he do small work in CID serial for few months, where he got first payment of three thousand rupees. But soon he got a good role with Ravi Khemu's serial - Hamarey Gaon Koi Ayega as a lead role Gulam Nabi, which he was making for Doordarshan. Meanwhile, Alok get a chance to do work with Anurag Kashyap's short film (That Day After Everyday), in which he worked with Radhika Apte. Then he got to work in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that assign with Rajshri Production directed by Sooraj Barjatya. During this film, casting director Vicky Sidana came in contact and because of that Alok later got to work in films like M.S Dhoni and Lucknow Central.[16][17]
