Alt.Latino is a NPR Music's web-based program about Latin Alternative music and Latino culture, hosted by Felix Contreras.[3][4] It features music as well as interviews with many of the most well-known Latino musicians, actors, film makers and writers.[5][6]

Hosts[]

  • Felix Contreras - He is from a Mexican American family in California. Previously, Contreras was a producer and reporter for NPR's Arts Desk. He is also a part-time musician who plays Afro-Cuban percussion with various jazz and Latin bands.
  • Jasmine Garsd - She is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. From 2013 to 2015 she was based in Mexico as a reporter and journalist. Then she returned to USA in February 2015.
