Amber Davies

Amber Davies (born October 4, 1996) is a Welsh actress and television personality. She is mostly known for winning reality TV show Love Island in 2017. She is also known for appearing in 9 to 5: The Musical as the character of Judy Bernly.[1]

Career[]

Davies is from [Denbigh] in North Wales. She is a fluent Welsh speaker. In the interview with Ok!, Davies said that she is from a working class background, her father a plumber and her mother a Mental Health Nurse.[2] Before appearing in the Love Island, Davies gained a scholarship at 16 to train in musical theatre at the Prestigious Urdang Academy in London following in her sister Jade's footsteps. She used to work as a dancer at night club Cirque Le Soir. She also has participated once on The X Factor before starting Television career professionally.[3] After winning the Love Island, she introduced a range of lingerie at Boux Avenue.[4] In the same year she launched her boutique clothing range at the Motel Rocks, while acting as an ambassador for the brand.[5] Apart from appearing on reaIlty shows like And They're Off!, All Together Now, The One Show, she also appeared in documentaries like Amber & Dolly: 9 to 5, When Reality TV Goes Horribly Wrong.[6][7][8][9]

On Saturday 10 July 2021, Davies appeared on CBBC’s Saturday Mash Up where she lost a public vote and was gunged with 20 buckets of slime.[citation needed]

Amber is connected to Actor Luke Newton (Colin Bridergton from the Netflix hit series Bridgerton). Luke is her sister Jade's boyfriend.
