Amber Rose Revah (born 24 June 1986) is a British actress. She is best known for playing the roles of Dinah Madani in Marvel's The Punisher with Jon Bernthal and Ben Barnes and as Mary Magdalene in box office hit Son of God. She played Leena Prasad in two seasons of PBS series Indian Summers with Julie Walters and appeared in From Paris With Love (2010) opposite John Travolta.
Early life[]
Her mother is from a Polish Jewish family, and Revah's father is from a Kenyan-Indian ancestry.[citation needed] Her maternal grandparents were forced out of Kraków during World War II, before eventually living in the United Kingdom, where her grandfather created a shipping business. She has a sister who works at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and a brother who lives in Switzerland and works as a ski instructor.[1]
Revah got her start in acting as a 17-year-old while still at Brunel University studying Contemporary Performance,[2] when she joined a RADA youth group and got an agent. In 2011, Revah starred in Everywhere and Nowhere where she met her future fiancé and fellow actor Neet Mohan.[3] In 2013, she played Vidya Khan, a young Pakistani girl, in the short murder mystery BBC series What Remains alongside David Threlfall and Russell Tovey.[4]
