Andrei Ioan Cordea (born 24 June 1999) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Liga I club FCSB and the Romania national team.
Club career[]
FCSB[]
Cordea moved to FCSB from Academia Clinceni on 5 June 2021, for a transfer fee of only €20,000.[1] He signed a five-year deal with €10 million buyout clause. On 16 July, he registered his debut against FC Botoșani.
Cordea scored his first goal for the club on 23 July he scored his first goal in UEFA Europa Conference League against Shakter Karagandy in the first leg. Two days later, he netted his first goal in the Liga I against Universitatea Craiova. On 12 September 12, he scored in a 6–0 rout of Dinamo București, which was the greatest goal difference in the Eternal derby.
International career[]
On 24 August 2021, following his good display at FCSB, Cordea received his first call-up for the Romania national team. He recorded his debut on 5 September that year, in a 2–0 defeat of Liechtenstein in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.[2]
