Andrew Matthews (born 1978) is an American politician in the Nevada Assembly from Nevada's 37th district. He was elected to the seat after defeating incumbent Democrat Shea Backus, thus flipping the seat from Democratic to Republican.[1] He previously ran for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in Nevada, but he lost in the Republican primary to Danny Tarkanian.[2]
