Angela Jane Bishop OAM (born 6 September 1967) is an Australian reporter and television presenter.

Bishop is currently a co-host on Network 10's Studio 10.

Career[]

Bishop has appeared on Celebrity Name Game, The Project and Show Me the Movie!.

Bishop is currently a co-host on the network's morning program Studio 10.[1] Commencing work at Network Ten in 1989, Bishop celebrated her 25th anniversary working for the network in 2014.[2]

Bishop made two cameo appearances on American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in 2017 and 2018 respectively.[3]

Personal life[]

Bishop married Peter Baikie in 2005 and they had a daughter in 2007.[4]

In 2016 Baikie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He died in 2017.[5]

Bishop is the daughter of former Australian politician Bronwyn Bishop and former NSW judge Alan Bishop.[6]

Bishop was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours, for "service to entertainment journalism".[7]

Controversy[]

In July 2018, Senator David Leyonhjelm described Bishop as a "bigoted bitch" on social media following a discussion on Studio 10 about Leyonhjelm's behaviour towards Senator Sarah Hanson-Young.[8] Leyonhjelm subsequently appeared on the program but refused to publicly apologise to Bishop.[9]
