Animal Cops: Phoenix, formerly titled Animal Planet Heroes: Phoenix, is an American documentary reality television series that first premiered in 2009 on Animal Planet.

The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is Arizona's largest non-profit animal welfare and protection agency and is devoted to rescuing and caring for the Valley's sick, injured and abused homeless animals. AHS' field operations team employs thirteen animal cruelty investigators/Emergency Animal Medical Technicians (EAMTs) who respond to more than 11,000 animal rescues and suspected cases of animal cruelty each year. At the heart of the Arizona Humane Society is AHS' Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, the largest shelter-based trauma hospital in the Southwest. The trauma hospital treats nearly 9,000 animals each year. Yet, that is just the beginning of the animal's journey to adoption as many receive one-on-one care from AHS' behavior team and foster heroes.
