Animal Kingdom: Let's Go Ape (French: Pourquoi j'ai pas mangé mon père), also titled Evolution Man and Why I Did (Not) Eat My Father, is a 2015 French-Belgian-Italian-Chinese 3D CGI adventure comedy film directed by Jamel Debbouze in collaboration with producer Fred Fougea. The film is based on the 1960 novel The Evolution Man by Roy Lewis from an original screenplay by Fred Fougea and Jean-Luc Fromental.[3] The film was a box-office failure for it's uncanny valley designs and dark tones of the story. An english dub of the film was released to DVD in the United States, but was censored for it's dark tones against children.
