The Anna-Schmidt-Schule (abbreviation: ASS; English: Anna Schmidt School) is a private school in the districts Westend and Nieder-Erlenbach of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

History[]

The eponym is Anna Schmidt (1852–1929[2]). Since 1979 the school is an UNESCO project school (UNESCO-Projektschule)[3] and furthermore a full-time school. The school has approximate 95 teachers, 20 educators and 1,280 students. The Anna-Schmidt-Schule is one of the renowned schools in Frankfurt am Main and looked upon as demanginst private school in general in Hesse.

In school year 2003/2004 the school time at the Anna-Schmidt-Schule was reduced from nine to eight years. So the students get their Abitur after twelve school years totally, not thirteen years more.
